Hello, and welcome to my final project for my Masters in education technology from central michigan university.
through this webpage, you will see what I have created to help my students through one of our longest units of the year. Linear equations, although taught throughout middle school, is one of the first units that we complete in Algebra I. Many of our students begin to realize that the skills they develop in this unit will apply throughout the year.
This project provides users with a plan (along with Unit Objectives & Common Core STandards), video lessons (with guided notes to help follow along, Practice, blog use (for student participation and involvement in the course), assessments, how the unit is graded, and a resource page provided by myself.
My main idea is that this unit is used as a virtual or flipped classroom, where students can utilize and learn outside of the classroom independently. I hope that you find this virtual unit interesting and as useful as I find it. With the great quantity of technology and involvement of student participation, I feel that it is a great resource for teachers, students, and even schools to have access to in order to help students.
Enjoy!
